How long has the band been together, and how did you guys get started?
Despite the risk has been a band on and off for the past couple of year's. We have had several line up changes and were Now Going Strong. DTR originated with Andrew, Cody & Decker.

What made you decide on the name "Despite the Risk"?
A television news broadcast said it While i was trying to come up with band name's. I just blurted it out and everyone said it was awesome. When it came to mind, it's meaning held alot of water. Doing What you need to be happy, Regardless of regrets.

Is there anything you would like to mention about your newly added member Chuck?
Chuck is the only new Recent member. We think he has the dedication we need for this band to go somewhere. And an Great ass.

Do you have any big plans coming up for 2008?
Summer Tour and recording a full length mastered CD.

Fill us in about the "Rawk Da Damn Boat" Tour?
It's over 1 month long, were playing with some good band's that are a little bit Harder then our style, So it will be interesting to see how the Crowd's react.

What do you guys do when not doing band related stuff?
practicing Music. We watch alot of movies. and quote alot of "the Whitest kid's you know". "A Sketch comedy show now on IFC"

Is there anything or anybody who has influenced your music?
Greenday, Brand New, Rufio, The black Dahlia Murder And ex girlfriend's.

Do you have a favorite town or venue to play? If yes, any special reasons?
Anywhere there is a crowd. We play at the rocket(Jackson,Michigan) alot, So that's kinda like home for us.

What are your thoughts on the Michigan music scene?
it's alot harder then it used to be. Most of the people that are into our style are from other states, But we embrace the community as a good peeps.

I see that you have an EP coming out soon, anything you would like to mention about that?
it's temporary, and we will be recording a full length CD.
